I grew up in dysfunction, searching for something solid from a very young age. In the fourth grade, I made the decision to start taking myself to church. My grandfather was a pastor, and one Sunday, a teacher explained that God created each of us cell by cell, with intention and purpose. That idea captured my imagination and settled deep into my heart. It became an anchor that stayed with me through every hardship that followed.
As a teenager, I struggled with depression and self-harm. Art became my refuge. Painting gave me a way to express emotions I couldn't put into words and offered moments of peace when life felt overwhelming.
As I entered adulthood, my faith deepened, but so did the challenges I faced. I survived experiences that left lasting wounds, including stalking, a violent kidnapping, and sexual assault. During some of the darkest seasons of my life, I would stay awake through the night painting and sleep through the day. Art became more than a creative outlet—it became a lifeline.
Over the years, I endured heartbreak, loss, and uncertainty. At one point, I faced a cancer scare that forced me to confront my fears in a way I never had before. Through prayer, faith, and perseverance, I emerged cancer-free and with a renewed sense of purpose.
Life has given me many reasons to lose faith. Yet again and again, God has preserved me, carried me through circumstances that should have broken me, and reminded me that my story was not over. Through every trial, I have witnessed His faithfulness.
Today, my artwork is an expression of that journey. Every piece I create is rooted in the belief that beauty can emerge from suffering, that healing is possible, and that every life is created with intention. My work reflects my love for God, my respect for creation, and my gratitude for the second chances I've been given.
What was once a means of survival has become a calling. Through art, I hope to create pieces that inspire reflection, resilience, and hope—the same hope that carried me through the darkest chapters of my own story.
I seek to tell stories of resilience, faith, and the human spirit. Inspired by my own journey through hardship and healing, I create tangible reminders beauty can emerge from adversity and that every life carries its own powerful purpose. My mission is to share hope, spark meaningful connection, and honor the strength that allows us to rise, rebuild, and keep moving forward.
